“Get a job with a high paycheck, you’ll be happy.”
“Get married, you’ll be happy.”
“Have kids, you’ll be happy.”
It seems that happiness is something that only exists in the future, something to be pursued but can never be had, as it’s always “will be”. But is it really?
This pursuit of happiness is tiring. And honestly, the result is not always guaranteed. When happiness is a “thing” to be achieved, it implies that I don’t have it now. But is it really? Can happiness be enjoyed in the moment?
